Happy Birthday Deepika Padukone: Look at what her fans made!
Deepika
made her debut in Bollywood with Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007)
opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and she was hailed as the next
superstar who went on to bag ‘Best Debutante – Female’ trophies at all
the award shows that year.
Shah Rukh and Deepika won hearts with their performance in Om Shanti Om.
Her
movie debut was the 2006 release ‘Aishwarya’, a Kannada film directed
by Indrajit Lankesh. Deepika was next seen in YRF’s ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’
(2008), followed by ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ (2009) , ‘Karthik Calling
Karthik’, ‘Lafangey Parindey’, ‘Break Ke Baad’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’ among
others.
These
were also the years when more than acting and career, her personal life
– the much hyped love affair with actor Ranbir Kapoor and the
subsequent breakup – made headlines.
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were in a highly publicised relation
The breakthrough in Deepika's career came with the 2012 release of Homi Adajania’s ‘Cocktail’. 'Yeh
Jawaani Hai Deewaani’ with ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor followed trail.
Deepika’s role of the shy, coy Naina was a deviation from every other
role she had taken up till then. Her chemistry with Ranbir was
appreciated and the movie became a box-office hit.

Thus
began the golden period for Deepika. Her second movie with Shah Rukh
Khan ‘Chennai Express’, directed by Rohit Shetty, turned out to be a
runaway success. Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed her opposite Ranveer
Singh and ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ramleela’ potrayed her as an actress
who can actually act. Her portrayal of Leela Sanera brought forward a
different side to her character.

Deepika
also featured briefly opposite Rajinikanth in the Tamil film
‘Kochadaiiyaan’, a period drama that was shot using motion capture
technology. Her versatality was next established as Angie in Homi
Adajania’s ‘Finding Fanny’. The movie did not make it to the hundred
crore club but earned rave reviews. 2014 ended on a good note with Farah
Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan for Deepika.
Arjun Kapoor was seen opposite Deepika in Finding Fanny
The
'Golden girl' is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s
‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Tamasha’ and ‘Piku’. The actress is busy celebrating
her birthday with alleged beau Ranveer Singh. According to reports Deepika celebrated Christmas with her family in Maldives and Ranveer joined them just in time.

Vidya Balan excited to shoot in Kolkata while in Mumbai
Vidya Balan
Vidya
Balan was recently seen shooting the climax of her forthcoming film
Hamari Adhuri Kahani with her on screen husband Rajkummar Rao.
Director Mohit Suri had recreated Kolkata in a bungalow location in a Western suburb of Mumbai that had Vidya excited, because she loves anything and everything from Bengal and Kolkata - be it films, food, language, culture, fashion and songs. The actress has lapped up everything from Bengal. "This portion of the film happens in Kolkata. It is the most beautiful time of the year. Durga puja is my favorite time to be in Kolkata. Mohit and team had shot few scenes in Kolkata during Durga puja but we had some scenes which needed to be done inside a bardy style old house. There are women in white and red, there is Durga moorthi sthapana, flower shops and there is a chill in the air. It is all so Kolkata," says Vidya excitedly.
And the beautiful actress is currently working on just one film. "Once I am on a film, I switch off from everything else. There are two to three scripts I have shortlisted. I will re-read those scripts and have meetings after this shoot is completed. And it will be few months to get things rolling. As usual I am working at my own pace," Vidya further added.
